Who gets to keep the bicycles that are removed from the railings?
I was just wondering - in central London there are a lot of signs that say "bicycles chained here will be removed. When they are removed, who keeps them? Don't worry, this hasn't happened to me - I'm just curious.

they go to police aution as stated, but keep an eye out as down here on the south coast the council are going to get an ebay account to get rid of confiscated goods so all can see them and maybe make a little more money than a small auction!

Arrive early and get a great Bargain!
You will also find bikes that are bought here are then resold by dealers at Brick Lane on the weekend.
