What can Happen without wheel Bearings on my rear bike tire? Please help.?
I work early mornings. And I ride a bike to work unfortunately i have no car yet. I go in at 3:30 am. and i was wondering if anything bad can happen? i was riding it home and some how it snapped off with all the little balls falling apart the nearest bike shop is about a mile and half away will it make it there? and around how much would it cost to replace or fix the rim? Thank you guys so much.
PS. its a mountain bike with six gears. 26in rim

Used Trek 2.1 or used Felt F85?
I am looking into buying one of these bikes. Both are lightly used. The trek 2.1 is a 2009 model and is going for 699$ and is from craigslist. Now the felt f85 is 600$, unknown year, but has all 105 components so its not really that older probly 3 years, and is at a local bike shop. Ofcourse buying from a LBS has a greater advantage with all the helpful support, but is there much of a step down from the 2.1 to the f85, and if so is it worth the 99$ for the difference? Thanks in advance for the help!
